This is the last Will and Testament of me John Alefounder of Number 2 Market Street in the Barugh of Faversham in the County of Kent Chemist and Druggist wherof I appoint my Son John and my daughter Mary Ann the wife of Alfred Kingsnorth of Faversham aforesaid Executors and Trustees I bequeath unto my said Son John the sum of Fifty pounds and my Watch and its appendages absolutely I bequeath unto my daughter Susanna Wesley the sum of Ten pounds absolutely I bequeath unto my said Trustees the stock in trade of my business and the goods and effects used in and about the same the tenant right of my dwelling house and the goodwill of my said business with the appurtenances Upon trust to cause the same to be valued by some indifferent person to be chosen by the said Mary Ann Kingsnorth and to permit my said Son John if he shall be desirous so to do to take the same at such valuation upon his giving his own promissory note to each of my other six children namely the said Mary Ann Samuel William Elizabeth Lightfoot the said Susanna Wesley and Charles Wesley or such of them as shall be living at the time of my decease for one seventh part of the amount of such valuation payable to order at the expiration of three years from the day of the date of my decease with interest on each one such seventh part at the rate of five pounds per centum per annum but if my said Son John shall not be desirous of taking my said business as aforesaid then I declare that the said Stock in trade and other the said premises shall be included in and form part of the residuary bequest next herein contained I devise and bequeath all my real estate and the rest residue and remainder of my personal estate unto my said Trustees Upon trust to divide the same unto and equally between all my children share and share alike who shall be living at ^the time of my decease I hereby revoke all former Wills In witness wherof I have hereunder set my hand this sixth day of October One thousand eight hundred and sixty eight - John Alefounder - Signed by the said Testator John Alefounder as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who at his request in his sight and presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto set our names as attesting Witnesses -

Proved at Canterbury the 10th day of November 1868 by the oaths of John Alefounder the Son and Mary Ann Kingsnorth (Wife of Alfred Kingsnorth) the Daughter and Executors to whom Administration was granted

The Testator John Alefounder was late of Number 2 Market Street Faversham in the County of Kent Chemist and Druggist and died on the 18th day of October 1868 at Number 2 Market Street aforesaid

ON the tenth day of November 1868, the Will of John Alefounder late of Number 2 Market Street Faversham in the County of Kent Chemist and Druggist deceased, who died on the 18th day of October 1868, at Number 2 Market Street aforesaid was proved in the District registry attached to Her Majesty's Court of Probate at Canterbury by the Oaths of John Alefounder of Faversham aforesaid Chemist the Son and Mary Ann Kingsnorth (Wife of Alfred Kingsnorth Tailor) of Faversham aforesaid the Daughter of the said deceased the Executors therin named they having been first sworn duly to administer.
