In dei noie~ Amen I Michaell Fynch of the p~ish of Milstead gent the third day of May in the yeare of our Lord 1638 being sicke in body but sound in minde doe make this my last will & Testamte as followeth vizt I giue my soule vnto Jesus Christ my Saviour willing my body to bee buried decently by myne executor Itim I giue my bed & bedstead wtt the furniture therunto belonginge to my daughter Briget It~ I giue vnto my sonn Thomas all my lands called Hoppins crofts Childerums & milstead Woods & Garrets conteineinge by estimacon~ nine Acres Abuttinge vpon the kings high way towards the North vpon the lands of the heires of Willm~ Guilford towards the East to the wood of the widdow Seston towards the South & to the lands of Thomas Furbrus & the heires of Willm~ Allen West & North, all her aforsaid lands lying & beeinge in the p_ish of Milstead aforesaid To haue & to hold all the said lands vnto my sonn Thomas & to the heires of his body lawfully begotten, & for default of such issue then to my sonn Richard & his heires for ever Prouided neuerthelesse my will & meaninge is that my sonn Henry shall haue the profets of the aforesaid woodlands exceptinge the timber for & durinnge the space of two yeares after my decease It~ I giue to my sonn Richard one p_cell of woodlands called Ashton Springe lyinge in Milstead aforesaid conteininge by estimacon~ eight Acres, & a buttinge to the lands of Willm~ Rainer & Thomas Furbrus towards the North to the lands of Sir John Thornehill knight towards the West to the lands of John Allen South & East to haue & to hould the aforesaid p_cell of woodlands to my sonn Richard & his heires for euer It~ I giue to my sonn Henry the Moitie or one halfe of my now dwelling house, & alsoe the Moitie of the barne Stable closse & Orchard there unto belonginge, & allsoe the Moietie of three p_cells of land called the Janes adioyneinge to the aforesaid Orchard, & of one other p_call of lands calles Robes wth a shaue of Woodland therevnto belonginge, conteinenige in all by estimacon~ Fourtene Acres & lyinge in Milstead aforesaid To haue & to hold the Moitie of the house & lands aforesaid vnto my sonn Henry & to his heires for euer, under this condition followinge viz: that he shall pay unto my daughter Briget the summ of Thirteene pounds for the paymt wherof I stand bound by Obligacon~ Likewise that hee shall pay vnto the wife of Thomas Waters the sum of tenn pounds for ye paymt wherof I stand bound by Obligacon~ Alsoe that hee shall pay unto my sonn Richard the sum~ of Ten pounds wth in the space of one yeare after my decease & Tenn pounds more of lawfull money wth in two yeares after my decease Lastly I giue unto the poore of Milstead aforesaid Tenn Shillings And I make my sonn Henry sole executor of this my last will & testament In wittnesse wherof I haue Sett to my hand & Seule the day & yeare first a boue written Sealed & deliu~ed in the p~sence of Richard Tilden Richard Finch Robte~ Clayton Michaell Finch
