Know all Men by these presents that We Elizabeth Pannell of Nayland in the County of Suffolk Widow John Garrad of Bures Saint Mary in the said County Tanner and Robert Ransom of Sudbury in the said County Gentleman are held and firmly bound unto the Worshipful Henry Dennis Berners Clerk Bachelor of Law in and throughout the whole Archdeaconry of Sudbury in the Diocese of Norwich Official lawfully constituted in the sum of Forty pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain to be paid unto the said Henry Dennis Berners or to his certain Attorney his executors administrators or assignes to which payment well and truly to be made we oblige ourselves and each of us by herself & themselves for the whole our and each and every of our heirs executors and administrators firmly by these presents dated the sixteenth day of October in the tenth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Fourth by the Grace of God of the united Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland King defender of the Faith and in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty nine

The Condition of this Obligation is such that if the above bounden Elizabeth Pannell the natural and lawful only surviving child and administratrix of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of Thomas Alefounder late of Nayland aforesaid Schoolmaster Intestate deceased do make or cause to be made a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased which have or shall come to the hands possession or knowledge of her the said Elizabeth Pannell or into the hands and possession of any person or persons for her and the same so made do exhibit or cause to be exhibited into the Registry of our Archidiaconal Court at or before the last day of January next ensuing and the same goods chattels and credits and all other the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased at the time of his death which at any time after shall come to the hands or possession of the said Elizabeth Pannell or into the hands and possession of any other person or persons for her do well and truly administer according to Law And further do make or cause to be made a true and just accompt of her said Administration at or before the last day of October 1830 and all the rest and residue of the said goods chattels acd credits which shall be found remaining upon the said Administratrixes Accompt the same being first examined and allowed of by the Judge or Judges for the time being of the said Court shall deliver and pay unto such person or persons respectively as the said Judges by his or their decree or sentence (pursuant to the true intent and meaning of a late Act of Parliament made in the two and twentieth and three and twentieth years of the reign of our late Sovereign Lord King Charles the Second intitled "An Act for the better settling of Intestates Estates") shall limit and appoint And if it shall hereafter appear that any last Will and Testament made by the said deceased and the executor or executors therein named do exhibit the same into the said Court making request to have it allowed and approved accordingly if the said Elizabeth Pannell being thereunto required do render and deliver the said Letters of Administration (approbation of such Testament being first had and made) in the said Court then this Obligation to be void or else to remain in full force and virtue.//

in order to the due Administration of the personal Estate and Effects
of Thomas Alefounder
late of Nayland aforesaid Schoolmaster
her late Father deceased

who died on ^ or about the twentieth Day of February 1788
* Make Oath and say, or in the
case of Quakers do most sol-
emnly Affirm and Declare.
† He, or she has, or they have.
Intestate.* maketh oath & saith that she hath
made diligent search and due enquiry after, and in respect of the
personal Estate and Effects of the said Deceased, in order to ascer-
tain the full amount and value thereof; and that to the best of her
knowledge, information, and belief, the whole of the Goods, Chattels,
and Credits, of which the said Deceased died, possessed within the
§ Province or Diocese, as the
case may be.
§ Diocese of Norwich
  (exclusive of what the Deceased may have been possessed of or en-
titled to as a Trustee for any other Person or Persons, and not bene-
ficially, but including the leasehold Estates for years of the Deceased,
whether absolute or determinable on lives, and without deducting
any thing on account of the Debts due and owing from the Deceased)
are under the value of Twenty pounds.

Elizabeth Pannell of Nayland in the County of Suffolk Widow mentioned in the administration Bond hereunto annexed maketh Oath and saith that she verily believes that Thomas Alefounder late of Nayland aforesaid Schoolmaster her late Father deceased died without any Will by him made that she will well and truly administer all the goods rights chattels and credits of the said deceased which at or since his death have or shall come to the hands or possession of her this deponent by paying the debts of the said deceased as far as such goods rights chattels and credits will extend and as by Law she is bound that she will make and exhibit a true full plain and perfect Inventory of all and singular the said goods rights chattels and credits of the said deceased and render a true and just account thereof when she shall be thereunto lawfully required.//.
