I Upcher Alefounder of St. Leonard's Parish in the Borough of Colchester Do make this my last Will and Testament. I give and bequeath unto my loving Wife Alice [on caret:] and her Heirs ["so orig" in margin] absolutely and for ever All that my Freehold House in which I dwell I also give to her all my Goods Chattles Effects money Securities for money, money due or owing to me, and all my real and personal Estate besides of what nature or kind soever Subject nevertheless to the payment of all my just debts and I so hereby make constitute and appoint my Wife Sole Executrix of this my last will revoking all former wills this being contained on one Sheet of paper to which I have affixed my Seal this Twenty Second Day of January One Thousand seven hundred and Eighty three ["so orig" in margin] four. Upcr. Alefounder LS Signed sealed published and declared by the Testator to be his last will in the presence of we who at his request have hereunto Signed our names as Witnesses Robt. Jabor. Edwd. Snell. Joseph Clark.

Proved on the Fifth day of January in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty five Refore the Reverend Robert Storey clerk Surrogate &c by the Oath of Alice Alefounder the widow and Relict of the deceased and sole Executrix to whom administration &c was granted She being first Sworn duly to administer.
