Thomas Alefounder est frater vnicus et px heres ped Joh~is Qui sup inde ven hic in cur in ppr~ pson~ sua et huiliter petit se admitti ad pemissa ped cu~ ptin~ Cui dnu~s Man~ij ped p senll~m suu~ ped concessit et p virgam delibavit ei inde seina~m Hend et Tenend pemissa ped cu~ ptiu~ sibi pefat Thome Alefounder heredibus et Assign~ suis de Dn~o p virga~ ad volunt Dni~ scdm~ cons man~ij ped p re~dd cons et servic inde prius debit et de jure consuet et dat Dn~o de Fine &c et Adm est inde Tenens &c Wheras at the court here for the manor aforesaid 2nd day of January AD 1710 Mathew Alefounder late a customary tenant of this Manor seised for himself and the Male heirs of his body lawfully begotten from the will of Robert Alefounder Remainder thence for want of Issue to John Alefounder his heirs and Assigns forever One messuage or Tenement and 30 Acres of land with the appurtenances held by custom and heriot from this manor by copy of Court roll as by Roll of the same court appears fully Now to this court of good authority it is by means of the Homage that the said Mathew after the last [24 Mar 1719] and before this court thus thence of tenant status as read through died seised without issue male of his body begotten (after whose death happens for the Lord with regard to a heriot for the said land one horse of value three pounds [...] was seised in the hands of the Lord and Bailiff of the said manor) And because the said John Alefounder [ . . . . . . . . . ] Before this court died without Issue and also that Thomas Alefounder is the only brother and next heir of the said John who moreover thence comes here in court in his own person and humbly petitions to be admitted to the said premises with the appurtenances For all that the lord of the said Manor by his said steward granted and by the rod delivered seisin for the same thenceforth to Have and to Hold the said premises with the appurtenances for himself the said Thomas Alefounder his heirs and Assigns of the Lord by the rod at the will of the Lord according to the custom of the said manor by the rent customs and services thenceforth firstly owed by customary right and giving to the Lord a Fine &c and thence he is Admitted Tenant &c

Et postea sedente cur~ ped Thomas Alefounder in plena cur cora~ homagis et senll~o man~ ped p virga~ sc~dm~ co~ns man~ij ped sur~edd in manus Dn~i man~ij ped manus dci senll~i pemissa ped cu~ ptiu~ Ad Opus et vsu~ Testi et ult volunt sue in scriptis declarat sive declarand:. Et ped Thomas Alefounder solvit Dn~o in eadm~ cu~ sum~a octo solidor et vu~ denar~ ?& Relevio decertis Liber~ terr~ infra hoc man~iu~ And afterwards the court sitting the said Thomas in full court before the homage and steward of the said manor by the rod according to the custom of the said manor surrendered into the hands of the Lord of the said manor by the hands of the said steward the said premises with appurtenances To the Use and behoof of his Testament and last will in writing declares or is about to declare:. And the said Thomas Alefounder paid to the Lord according to the same the sum of 8s and 1d & Relief of certain Free land under this manor
